Michael Harlow Named Developmental Coach of the Year

MN's Parish is Duathlete of the Year

patrick_parish_2011Patrick Parish, shown finishing 2nd overall at the 2011 Best of the U.S.Championship, has been named USA Triathlon's Duathlete of the Year. Patrick was overall and/or amateur winner last year at several dus, including the super-competitive Apple Duathlon in Sartell, MN,  Gear West Duathlon and--convincingly--at USAT's Duathlon Nationals.

BOUS Veterans are prominent in USAT Awards

chris_thomas_award_2008Shortly after taking 2nd place at the 2008 Best of the U.S. Championship, Connecticut's Christopher Thomas started focusing on long course and has been nothing short of a force of nature, particularly at the 70.3 distance, since. He returned to BOUS in 2009 to take 4th overall, in the midst of an unprecedented string of 70.3 wins and hasn't slowed down any since.

Travel savings you'll crow about

rooster-megaphoneBest of the U.S. is pleased to announce its alliance with Ruster Sports as the Official Bike Travel Case supplier for its 50-state triathlon series and Championship.

“A Best of the U.S. athlete, Mark Harms from Wisconsin, was showing off his bike travel bag last June at Leon’s Triathlon,” said BOUS Director Trudy Marshall. “He loved traveling with it and said it was saving him a bunch of money, and that it was invented by a friend of his.”
